We believe entrepreneurs play a critical role in creating solutions to climate change. We’re looking for proven founders to join us to launch climate tech unicorns for SouthEast Asia.

Wavemaker Impact is a dedicated sustainability fund within Wavemaker and co-founds climate tech businesses in Southeast Asia with proven entrepreneurs. Our goal is to reduce 10% of the global carbon budget by launching new high growth startups in the region.

Wavemaker Impact is led by a team of experienced entrepreneurs, investors and venture builders. We have identified over 50 opportunity spaces for '100 x 100' companies - companies with the potential to achieve $100m in annual revenue and abate 100 MT of carbon at scale. Wavemaker Impact will partner with entrepreneurs to ideate, validate and launch high growth companies in these opportunities spaces.

What You’ll Do:

• Work with the Wavemaker Impact team to identify and test opportunities that have the potential to be 100 x 100 companies over a 3-6 month period
• Identify the target customer segment and conduct customer discovery to uncover pain points, barriers to adoption and value drivers
• Develop a business model with a strong value proposition for the target customer segment
• Prototype and test the business model and solution, ideally securing your first pilot customers during this process
• Develop a business case/pitch, defining the venture roadmap and execution plan
• Identify and manage risks critical to the venture’s success
• Lead the growth of the startup post investment and once seed capital has been invested

Who You Are:

• Proven founder with early stage C-level or founder-level experience
• Previous startup experience, including raising capital preferred
• Passion for sustainability and motivated to make a real impact on climate change
• Enjoys the zero-to-one phase, including customer discovery, business model and product development and forming team
• Focus on customer and execution, willingness to test and learn
• A good communicator with stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work successfully within small, unstructured teams
• Self-initiative and an ability to work independently
