Wavemaker Impact is a first-of-its-kind climate tech venture builder in Southeast Asia. We partner with proven entrepreneurs in creating highly scalable business models, with the aim to reduce the global carbon budget by 10% by 2035.

We’re looking for an Analyst to support the Financial Accounting and Reporting operations of Wavemaker Impact. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day accounting operations as well as participate in the planning and execution of process improvement initiatives.

This is the perfect role of a continuous self-starter who is curious and hungry to learn, looking to sink their teeth into the finance operations of an early stage Venture Capital firm.

Play a critical role in supporting the Wavemaker Impact leadership team and enable the team to operate at their optimum by supporting the Financial Accounting and Reporting operations of Wavemaker Impact.

How you’ll make an impact

  • You prepare management accounts for the fund management services
  • You oversee third party fund administration service providers including accounting, tax, performance measurement and corporate secretarial service providers
  • You prepare Net Asset Value calculation and reportings
  • You coordinate investor servicing activities - capital calls, distributions, and other investor reportings
  • You maintain fund documentations and apply the terms to the financial reporting and the income and expense allocations
  • You maintain a working knowledge of current accounting principles and developing solutions for issues
  • You review financial statements and footnotes and manage the annual audit process
  • You liaise with banks and auditors to ensure smooth service delivery to clients and timely completion of deliverables
  • You perform other duties as assigned and incidental to the work described above

What we look for


  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • 2-3 years experience in an accounting or fund accounting role


  • You demonstrate understanding and knowledge in accounting principles - fund accounting knowledge is a plus but not a must


  • You are detail-oriented, meticulous and analytical
  • You display a high level of professionalism and ethics
  • You are process-oriented and reliable
  • You possess a high degree of initiative, proactiveness, and self-management
  • You have the ability to convey information with clarity and concision via strong written and verbal communication skills
  • You have the ability to build strong partnerships and alignment with internal and external stakeholders
